Creating and managing a memorial page allows friends, family, and loved ones to come together and remember someone who has passed away. But managing such a page often involves collaboration, especially when multiple people want to share stories, photos, or keep the page updated. Our Tributes makes it easy to add an editor, allowing trusted individuals to help manage the memorial. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add an editor to your Our Tributes memorial page

Step 1: Log into Your Account

To add an editor, first log in to your account at https://app.ourtributes.com Make sure that you’re logged into the account that is the owner or an editor of the memorial page.

Step 2: Go to the Memorial Page

Once logged in, navigate to the memorial page you want to edit. You can find all the pages you own or can edit by tapping "My Pages" from the left side menu.

Step 3: Access the Page Settings

On the memorial page, look for the settings tab in the bottom right.

Step 4: Manage Editors

Within the settings or management options, find the “Manage Editors” option. Tapping this button will show you everyone that has access to this page.

Step 5: Add an Editor

Tap "Add Editor." You’ll be prompted to enter the email address of the person you’d like to add as an editor. Make sure you have the correct email address, as this is where the invitation will be sent. Double-check for any typos to ensure that the invite reaches the right person.

Step 6: Confirm the Addition

After the invited editor accepts the invitation, their name and role will appear on the “Manage Editors” page. Check back to ensure they’re listed as an editor and confirm with them that they have access.

Additional Tips

Communicate Expectations: Before adding someone as an editor, it’s helpful to discuss what type of content and updates they might add to the page.

Regular Reviews: Periodically review the list of editors, especially if responsibilities or roles change.

Remove Editors as Needed: If someone no longer needs to be an editor, you can remove their permissions by returning to the “Manage Editors” section, swiping left on their name, and tapping the delete icon.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Invitation Not Received: If the person you invited doesn’t see the email, suggest that they check their spam or junk folder. You can also resend the invitation if necessary.

Access Issues: If the new editor has trouble accessing the page, ensure that they’ve created an account at app.ourtributes.com and used the same email address that you invited.

By following these steps, you can easily collaborate with others to create a meaningful and well-maintained tribute. Remember, sharing this responsibility can bring more memories and perspectives to the page, making it a richer, more personal memorial for everyone involved.
